Why I built it
I’ve worked in ecommerce for more than 9 years and I’ve always missed simple, well-built, fairly priced modules: the ones available were expensive, slow or abandoned. With AI, building them costs far less, and my experience decides what to build and how to build it well. ecom-addons is that combination.
Design decisions
One distribution, three apps
A single CloudFront distribution serves the static Astro site (/*), the React customer area (/account/*) and the Lambda API (/api/*). One domain, no CORS and no servers to maintain.
The repo is the catalogue
Each addon is an addon.yml with price, version, compatibility and texts in three languages. The deploy copies it to DynamoDB and the API charges the price stored there, so the site and checkout never disagree.
One core, three platforms
Each addon’s logic lives in a shared PHP library and each platform only adds its integration layer. A fix reaches PrestaShop, WooCommerce and Drupal at once.
Pay once, forever
No subscriptions: the licence includes every future version and 6 months of support. The Stripe webhook is idempotent, so a repeated event never duplicates orders or licences.
