Design decisions
At most one call to AliExpress
Every response is cached for 24 h in S3, so a repeated request never goes back to the supplier.
The quota in a single operation
The daily quota is one conditional DynamoDB UpdateItem per request: atomic, with no prior read.
Cheap authentication
An authorizer validates the API key and caches the result for 5 minutes, on an HTTP API (cheaper than a REST API).
Keyless deploys
CDK from GitHub Actions with OIDC, with no stored AWS credentials. Astro site on S3 and CloudFront, Cognito login and Stripe billing.
